Emma Ella Woods
March 4, 1936 – February 21, 2026
Emma E. Woods of Blackwell passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026, in Stillwater at the age of 89 years.
Emma Woods was born at Douglas, Oklahoma, to Edna Lucille (Thomas) and Gerrard Dougherty. She grew up in the Eddy, Lamont and Tonkawa area graduating from Tonkawa High School with the class of 1954. She married James Woods on December 24th, 1954, in Blackwell, Oklahoma. They moved to Pueblo, Colorado, in 1955 and returned to Blackwell in 1956. They have resided in Blackwell and Nardin area since. She graduated from Northern Oklahoma College with an associate's degree in nursing and became a Registered Nursing at Integris Blackwell Hospital and retired after 26 years.
A son, James Wesley Woods, Blackwell is survivor. Her parents, grandparents, sisters and brothers precede her in death.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 24 from 9:00 am – 7: 00 pm at the Roberts and Son Funeral Home,
Graveside service will be Wednesday, February 25, 2026, Blackwell Cemetery at 2:00 pm
