Elmer Feathers

Elmer Darrel Feathers, age 82, of Ponca City, Oklahoma passed away November 7, 2025, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, surrounded by his family. A graveside ceremony will be held on Friday, November 14th, at 10:00 am at Odd Fellows Cemetery with Dr. Bob Ryan officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.
Elmer was born on March 21, 1943, in Nowata, Oklahoma, to Henry and Ruby (Bricker) Feathers. Elmer joined the Navy at age 17, and later received an honorary diploma for serving his country. On July 17th, 1970, Elmer married Connie Leann Hunt in Newkirk, OK. Their marriage was blessed with four children. Elmer was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family. Elmer was a forklift operator for Carbon Black where he worked for over 30 years until his retirement.
Survivors include children: Bill Feathers and wife, Trish, of Tuttle, OK, Robert Feathers and wife, Julie, of Ponca City, DeAunn Russell and husband, Todd, of Enid, OK, and Shane Feathers and wife, Sherry, of Ponca City. Grandchildren, Colby Feathers and wife, Kelly, of Ponca City, Chad Feathers and wife, Ashley, of Pauls Valley, OK, Amanda Feathers of Kailua-Kona, HI, Kailey Bransford and husband, Tryistan, of Ponca City, Trenton Russell of Enid, OK, and Siearra Russell of Enid, OK, and 8 great grandchildren. Preceding in death was his beloved wife, Connie; parents, Henry and Ruby Feathers; brothers, Leroy Feathers and Jim Feathers.
Honorary Casket Bearers will be Shane Feathers, Bill Feathers, Robert Feathers, Colby Feathers, Chad Feathers, Trenton Russell, and Tryistan Bransford.
