E. Marlene Williams
September 11, 1933 - April 18, 2026
Marlene Hiskett Williams passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on April 18, 2026, surrounded by family.
Marlene was born on Monday, September 11, 1933, to Bruce and Edith Hiskett in Isabel, Kansas. During her early years she lived on her family’s farm where her love of nature and gardening began. She graduated from Isabel High School. Marlene married in 1953, and began her family in Medicine Lodge, Kansas. She was dedicated to her family, and enjoyed camping, crafts, games, sewing, and traveling with family and friends. Marlene was an avid reader and enjoyed many activities through Ponca City and McCord Senior Centers, Salvation Army, Pioneer Area Quilters Guild, and many more community events. Over the years she was employed with Medicine Lodge Hospital, Jack Bowker Ford, Wetmore/United Farm Tools, Kildare Schools and she faithfully served with My Favorite Things.
Marlene wasn’t one for many words, choosing instead to listen with patience and intention. Rooted in her Christian faith from the Bible, she carried on a quiet conversation with God through constant, silent prayer. In that stillness, she found strength-and offered it to those around her.
Marlene is survived by: her sister, Doris Rogers; sisters-in-law, Kathy Hiskett, and Shirley Sneary; children, Harry Williams, Sabrina Thomson, Andy Williams, and DeeDee Holloway; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was dearly loved as mom, grandma, Gigi and aunt Marlene; preceded in death by her parents, sister, Mary Jo and brother, Harry Bruce Hiskett.
