Delbert Loren McGaha

Delbert Loren McGaha, age 92, of Owasso, went to be with the Lord on the morning of December 14, 2025.

Delbert was born February 21, 1933, in Nardin, Oklahoma to Clarence and Hazel (Hewett) McGaha. Delbert graduated from Blackwell High School in 1951. In 1954, he married Georgia J (Murphy) and they raised 4 children in Blackwell, Oklahoma—Sharon, Delbert Jr. (aka, “David”), Tami, and Ronda. After their marriage ended, he met and married Cecelia (Hoffman/McGugan) in 1971. They moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Delbert continued success as a Life Insurance Salesman.

He was a loving father, grandfather, wonderful friend, and a dedicated member of First Christian Church in Stillwater. He was active in Relay for Life, and was a 17-year cancer survivor. He enjoyed playing dominoes, always had a smile and a joke to lift your spirits. He and Cecelia drove to local towns to listen to local musicians at senior centers and enjoy pot luck supper.

Following Cecelia’s passing, Delbert moved to Owasso, where he lived with his daughter—later moving to Baptist Village where he enjoyed the company of his fellow residents, staff, music, and of course: dominoes & ice cream. He touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Delbert is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Harland, Warren, and Dayle; one sister, Theda Ray; one son, Delbert McGaha Jr.; wife Cecelia Elizabeth (Hoffman) McGaha; and former wife, Georgia (Murphy) Bennett.

He is survived by his daughters: Sharon Yates and husband Joe, Tami Fasgold and husband Clayton, Ronda Scott and husband Tom; grandchildren: Jeff, Nathan, Tabatha, Jonathan, CJ, Erica, Zachary, Dakota, Matthew, Ashley, Samantha, Amie, Jamie, and Tony; great- and great-great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

Chapel Services to be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 20, 2025, in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell. Burial to follow at the Blackwell Cemetery.
