Born on December 25, 1941, in Arkansas City, Kansas, to Cecil and Sarah (Berry) Foiles, Delbert lived a life marked by dedication to his family, career, and community. Delbert married the love of his life, Doris Foiles (Brigham), on September 15, 1963. Together, they shared 62 wonderful years of marriage, filled with love and devotion. He is survived by Doris, and their three children: Sandy Walther and her husband, Carl; Pam Conner and her husband, Mark; and Phil Foiles and his wife, Rachel. Delbert was also a proud grandfather to Blaine Conner, Bailey Conner, Brenna Calderon and her husband Santana, Ashley Walther, and Sam Foiles. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren, Chris and Jameson Charlton. He is also survived by his brother, Jim Foiles and his wife, Royalyn, and sister, Nadine Kalbfleisch. Delbert was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Mary Zanardi.

A dedicated professional, Delbert retired from Conoco in 1999 after an impressive 36-year career. Beyond his work in the oil industry, he found joy in mentoring young people as an NRA youth shooting instructor. His passion for shooting extended into his personal life as he spent countless hours at the gun range honing his skills. Delbert had a natural gift for connecting with others: he never met a stranger. Whether visiting with neighbors or lending a helping hand to those in need, he was known for his caring nature and willingness to assist anyone who crossed his path. He enjoyed tinkering with lawn mowers and trimmers in his spare time, a hobby that reflected both his resourcefulness and love of problem-solving.

Family was at the heart of everything Delbert did. He cherished time spent with loved ones and took immense pride in their accomplishments. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him endless joy. Delbert’s warmth, generosity, and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.
