Our beloved father Charles Thomas Neeley (“CT”/”Chuck”) left this earth at home surrounded by his daughters to be reunited with his beautiful wife and son on July 3, 2026 after battling with a rare brain disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.

Charles was born January 16, 1949 in Hickoria, Arkansas – literally in a barn. He grew up and graduated from Tonkawa High School. Along the way, he met the absolute love of his life, Peggy Louise Bass (Neeley) and they were married June 1, 1972. They shared fifty wonderful years together. They made their home in Tonkawa, Oklahoma, and ended up adding two adorable daughters and a handsome son to their little family.

He was a very hard-working, strong man who always provided for his family and never asked for much. He would always do everything himself, until he couldn’t. He enjoyed family time with his wife, daughters, son, and his grandkids. His grandkids were the light of his life. He would do anything for them, as well as his children. He loved his children so much that he would drop whatever he was doing to help them out.

He loved tournament fishing, going camping, bowling on leagues, and attending various sporting events. He got to see other parts of the world. He was a retired Army veteran for 20-plus years; no matter what time of day it was, he was a dedicated fireman and paramedic they could always count on. He was a brother of the Tonkawa Masonic Lodge for many years as well.

Our father was always dedicated to providing for his little family. He worked for Gurners Machine Shop for many years before then going on to Asbury Machine Shop. He would work there for over twenty years before taking his final job with Smith Tool, which later became Smith Bits. In 2015, he decided to finally retire and enjoy life.

He is survived by his daughters, Misty Neeley of the home in Tonkawa, Martha Parker and husband Travis; three grandchildren, Marissa, Cochanna, and Joshua Parker, all of Tonkawa. Daughter not by blood, but of heart, Tonya Spaulding. Sisters Joyce Jones, Lorraine Cook and husband Brian, and Sharlett; Brother Charlie Wayne Neeley and wife Angie; brother-in-law Michael Bishop; and nieces and nephews: Kristina, Elisha, Tommy, Chris, Brandi, Melissa, Deborah, Shane, Nick, Gina, and Heather; cousins who were more like brothers and sisters to him: Gary Neeley and wife Sue, Shurlene Milligan and husband Robert; and numerous other family members.

He is preceded in death by his lovely wife, Peggy Neeley; his son, Kevin Neeley; paternal parents, Thomas and Geneva Neeley; maternal parents, Ellis and Ruth Bass; grandmother, Nellie; sister, Margaret Bishop; nephew, Daniel; cousins, Darlene, Michael, and Lonnie; as well as numerous family members.

Pallbearers for Charles’ service include Tonkawa’s Retired and Active Firefighters: Charlie Conaghan, Jerry Hook, Brandt Harris, Steve Varner, Tim Gilbert, and Rob Fehring.

A Visitation will be held Thrusday, July 9, 2026, at Roberts and Son Funeral Home, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Roberts Memorial Chapel at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 10, 2026, with Rev. Donnie Hazelwood officiating. Burial to follow in the Tonkawa I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Charles’ honor to ACG Hospice ℅ Roberts and Son Funeral Home.
