Brice Ray Manley

September 12, 1939 - December 25, 2025

Brice Ray Manley, age 86, of Duncan, OK passed December 25th at his home of a massive heart attack.

Brice was born on September 12, 1939, in Enid, OK, the third son of Edward Leola and Beta Viola Manley. He grew up on a farm east of Billings, OK with three siblings. He attended a one-room schoolhouse until he was in the 6th grade when he graduated and transferred to Billings Jr. High School. He would graduate from Billings High School in 1957. He was active in high school with 4H, FFA, Football and whatever else took his fancy.

He eloped with his high school sweetheart, Janice Buckles, in 1958 to New Mexico on his way to his first station after joining the Air Force. After working on the farm all those years the Air Force assigned him to the heavy equipment division. He learned to drive a semi-truck and be a top-notch mechanic. He always had a love of cars and after being discharged from the service he would become a truck driver for over 50 years. While on the side he farmed, custom harvested, drove a race car, was a welder, worked in the oil field but would always return to long hauling across country.

Brice and Janice had three children, Brian, Mark and Melanie before divorcing in 1977. Brice moved to Texas and was a welder for many years as well as a diner owner. He loved people and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He loved to cook and grill. You could never go to his house that he wasn’t going to feed you.

He would marry three times in his life before settling down with Lee Ann Duffy in June of 2012 with her by his side for the past 13 years. The couple resided in rural area of Duncan, Oklahoma.

Brice is survived by his sister Lela Ann Freiling, Devol, OK. Two of his children Brian Manley and wife Abby, Melanie Unruh Johnson and husband Faron, all of Perry, OK.
