Billy Sue Hodgson

Billy Sue “Susie” Hodgson, beloved wife, mother, Nana, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026, at her home in Ponca City, Oklahoma. She was born on January 22, 1947, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to William and Lavina Armstrong.
Susie graduated from Thomas A. Edison High School, Class of 1965. She later attended Oklahoma State University where she met and married the love of her life, Randy Hodgson. Together, they devoted many years to pastoral service in churches throughout western Oklahoma.
A dedicated homemaker, Susie devoted her life to caring for her family and sharing her joy and faith in God with others. She was a talented artist whose creativity knew no bounds. Whether through painting, cake decorating, crafting, gardening, or photography, Susie expressed beauty in all she did. She had a joyful spirit and a love for singing that could light up any room.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 60 years, Randy Hodgson, and their four sons: Chad Hodgson of Livingston, Montana; Galen Hodgson and his wife Yun of Shanghai, China; Matthew Hodgson and his wife Kristy of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; and Tucker Hodgson and his wife Becca of Ponca City, Oklahoma.
She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Jocelynn Hodgson, Paytan Hodgson, Mark Hodgson, Lucas Hodgson, Gage Hodgson, Wyatt Hodgson, Tanner Hodgson, Sorah Hodgson, and Daniel Hodgson. Susie is further survived by her sister, Linda Armstrong of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Barbara Lasachi and Bill Armstrong.
Susie will be remembered for her deep love of family, her joyful spirit, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren.
