No. 21 Oklahoma women beat Iowa State 77-71

AMES, Iowa (AP) – Peyton Little, Gabbi Ortiz and Maddie Manning scored 13 points apiece to help No. 21 Oklahoma beat Iowa State 77-71 on Saturday.

Manning got her defender in the air at the 3-point arc and went to the rim for a layup to extend Oklahoma’s lead to 70-63 with 1:47 left.

Seanna Johnson hit two free throws with 10 seconds left to pull Iowa State to 75-71 but Ortiz answered with two made free throws at the other end for a six-point lead.

Kaylon Williams added 12 points and Gioya Carter had 10 for Oklahoma (15-5, 6-3 Big 12).

Little scored 11 points in the decisive third quarter, on three 3-pointers and a layup, as Oklahoma outscored Iowa State 26-13.

Johnson had 18 points and 12 rebounds for Iowa State (11-9, 3-6), which lost its fifth straight. Jadda Buckley added 16 points with six assists and Bridget Carleton had 15 points with nine rebounds.
