Newkirk Man Injured in Auto Accident Wednesday Morning

John Vannoy, 47, of Newkirk, was injured when the 2013 Mack truck he was driving crashed around 11:25 am Wednesday morning. Vannoy was driving West on Fountain Road when his vehicle ran off the road to the right. He then over-corrected and the truck rolled hitting a culvert and striking an electric pole.

Vannoy was transported by Ponca City EMS to Alliance Hospital in Ponca City and admitted in good condition with trunk injuries

The accident, that occurred at Fountain Road and S Street, 3 miles east of Tonkawa in Kay County, was investigated by Trooper Snyder of the Kay/Noble County detachment of Troop K. Assisted by Ponca City EMS and Kay County Sheriff’s Department.
