Newkirk Main Street plans Spirit Sightings Tour Oct. 19-20

Ponca City Now - October 11, 2019 1:31 pm

NEWKIRK – Newkirk Main Street will sponsor the annual Spirit Sightings Tour on Oct. 19-20. Whether you believe in ghosts or not, the paranormal does appear to exist in Newkirk and you’re invited to explore the stories of the community. This tour will be different from previous programs.

None of the stories are scary, and in fact, some may even be considered helpful, but the hosts still discourage the participation of those under 12.

The tours will begin each day at 2 p.m. at the Newkirk Heritage Center located at 116 North Main. No private vehicles are permitted, and seating is limited to 45 for each day. Advance purchase of tickets is required. Tickets may be purchased for $10 each at Newkirk Main Street, 116 N Main or Equity Bank, 102 S Main.

The business district portion of the tour will be walking, while the residential portion will be conducted on bus or from the porch of the residence. Afterwards, the bus will return the Main Street office, where refreshments will be served. Come join us for a unique perspective on Historical Newkirk.
