New Title VI Project Director Named

Sara Bell has been named Title VI Project Director, pending board of education approval. Her first day will be July 1, 2022. Bell will replace Chris LittleCook, who retired following the 2021-2022 school year.
Sara is a graduate of Oklahoma Wesleyan University with a degree in psychology with a minor in communications. “I am honored and delighted to have this opportunity to serve and empower our Indigenous learners and future leaders,” said Bell. “Our children are the most important light work that we will ever invest in. I look forward with so much hope as we continue to build a program that allows Indigenous students every opportunity for success and happiness in their lives.”
She is currently employed with the Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma as Tribal Administrator. She is in charge of over 50 programs and program services and supervises a staff of over 230 people. She also serves as primary liaison and advisor to the Tribal Council regarding daily operations and has an extensive grant management background.
Prior to working for the Tribe, Sara served as a teacher assistant for Ponca City Public Schools, was Children’s Ministry Pastor at Ponca City Church and was the Child Care Development Fund Director for the Kaw Nation.
Sara is the current Ponca City High School Booster Club President, is a certified yoga instructor, a softball coach for Ponca City Parks and Rec and serves on the Poncan Theatre Board.
