Motorcyclist injured near Perkins

A Perkins motorcyclist was injured about 5 p.m. Sunday on 146th a half mile west of Western in Payne County.

Walt Smith, 50, was transported by Air Evac to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City and admitted in critical condition with head, leg, arm and trunk injuries.

He was driving a 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on 146th and lost control, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported. The motorcycle left the roadway to the right and struck a culvert.
