Body-cam footage of an arrest of a Moore woman for animal cruelty on June 26 has been released.

The Moore Police Department (MPD) received a call from a teenager who claimed her mother was attempting to burn her cat.

The teen said that she heard the cat meowing outside and found it inside a pet carrier, wrapped in a trash bag, on top of a burning grill.

She quickly got the carrier off the grill and the cat out of the carrier.

The cat had visible burn marks and singed whiskers but did not appear to have any serious injuries.

According to MPD, the mother was lying on the front porch wrapped in a porch rug when they arrived.

MPD identified the woman as Veronica Carrillo.

Carrillo was arrested for animal cruelty.

At the time of the last home check, the cat was still in the care of the family.
