OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) – A Midwest City woman is accused of getting arrested on purpose so she could smuggle contraband into the Oklahoma County jail.

Authorities said they found fentanyl, methamphetamine, and marijuana on 21-year-old Amerah Ovion Lee when she was booked into jail on Feb. 26.

According to an affidavit signed by investigator Jamie O’Leary, the investigation began to unwrap on Feb. 17 when a confidential informant told law enforcement that they knew someone who went by the street name “Mimi” who was working with male inmates at the Oklahoma County jail to bring contraband into the facility.

According to the confidential informant, Lee was previously jailed in the 6A women’s pod and would hide phones and drugs in her body and get arrested intentionally.
