Meals Available for Po-Hi Students During Distance Learning

Mike Seals - November 10, 2020 10:06 pm

Grab and Go Meals will be available for all Ponca City High School students through the Distance Learning transition timeframe due the surge in COVID-19 cases. Students may pick-up lunch and the following day’s breakfast from 11:00 AM -12:00 PM beginning Wednesday, November 11 through Tuesday, November 24. Meals may be picked up in the 5th Street parking lot of PO-HI as we did during the school closure last spring.

To help us plan for the number of meals to prepare, please call Tamra Ralston at 580-718-3830 by 3:00 PM the prior school day to confirm meals. However, we will have extra meals available. Both hot meals and grab and go meals will be served, and phone call confirmation will help us adequately meet the needs of our students.

November 25 will begin the Thanksgiving Break, so meals will not be distributed during the break.   Ponca City High School students return to the site for In-person Instruction on Monday, November 30.   Again, meals will be available Wednesday, November 11 through Tuesday, November 24 on school days.

This location on these dates will be our pick-up location for Ponca City High School students and our Ponca City Virtual Academy students. Students do not have to be in the vehicle for the meal to be collected. Please call ahead so we are expecting you.

On Friday, November 13, the District Learning Practice Day, PO-HI will be one of the regular pick-up locations for all the other sites. No need to call and order a meal for Distance Learning Practice Day. Meals will be available.
