Man held in stabbing of two people

A 911 call reporting a dual stabbing in the 3600 block of E Street at 10:48 p.m. Wednesday resulted in the arrest of 52-year-old Robert Delano McCauley.

One of the victims was a roommate of McCauley’s. The 45-year-old female victim told police that she, her boyfriend, McCauley and his girlfriend all live together.

The victim said McCauley and his girlfriend had a verbal altercation that she helped to settle down and then a short time later he stabbed her twice. She remains hospitalized.

The other victim, a 44-year-old male, was stabbed once. He was treated and released.

Both victims were transported to Ponca City Medical Center by ambulance personnel.

McCauley was arrested at the residence and had reportedly been drinking all day. He resisted officers and was tased.

He is currently held at the Ponca City Police Department and faces charges of two counts of Domestic Assault with a Deadly Weapon, three counts of Assault and Battery on an Officer, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting Arrest.

One officer suffered minor injuries during the altercation.
