OKLAHOMA CITY –
A man has been charged after he allegedly hit and injured two pedestrians with his Tesla in 2021 in Bricktown.
Court records said Ladarion Norton was charged with two counts of leaving the scene of a collision involving injury, one count of compounding or concealing a crime and one count of destroying evidence.
Investigators were able to track Norton down in Texas after a two-year investigation into the crash.
The crash happened on August 15, 2021, in the 300 block of Johnny Bench Drive near the Bricktown Ballpark.
One of the victims told News 9 they were on their way home when the crash happened. The victim said his leg was hit with the vehicle’s side mirror. The victim also said his friend, who was also hit, was sent to the hospital and needed plastic surgery.
Oklahoma City Police said it is unclear if the car was on autopilot when the crash happened.
Norton’s bond was set at $10,000, court records said.
