MAN ARRESTED, ACCUSED OF SHOOTING TEENAGER NEAR CHANDLER

Authorities have identified the man accused of shooting a teenager Sunday night in Lincoln County.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Jodie Jones is the suspect in connection to the incident near Chandler, Okla.

The Lincoln County sheriff said the suspect was a man armed with a 12-gauge shotgun who walked across the front lawn of a home and fired through the front door.

Authorities said the teenager was on the other side of the door and hit in the leg. The victim was taken to the hospital.

The suspect, according to the sheriff, ran off into the woods. The sheriff said this was a random shooting and have no idea why the suspect targeted the home.

Jones was arrested and booked on the complaints of assault and battery with a deadly weapon and shooting into an occupied dwelling.
