Logan County Sheriff Deputy David Wade has died after being shot multiple times earlier this morning.
Officials say the deputy was serving an eviction notice about 9:15 a.m. in Mulhall about one mile west of Interstate 35 in Logan County, north of Guthrie when he was shot multiple times including in the face and the body.
Logan County Sheriff Damon Devereaux said the suspect, believed to be Nathan Aaron LeForce, 45, stole the deputy’s vehicle and drove to Smitty’s convenience store in Coyle. There LeForce hijacked another car from a female driver who is believed to be ok.
Authorities have confirmed that LeForce is now in police custody.
