(TNND) — President Trump’s recent foreign policy actions are drawing attention for their speed and audacity, even earning some praise from unlikely quarters.
Axios reported that Biden administration veterans, while questioning Trump’s motives, expressed admiration for the pace and boldness of his moves.
“Gosh, I wish I could work for an administration that could move that quickly,” one person said.
Rob Malley, who held senior posts in three Democratic administrations, commented on the dual nature of Trump’s approach. “It’s hard not to be simultaneously terrified at the thought of the damage he can cause with such power, and awed by his willingness to brazenly shatter so many harmful taboos,” Malley said.
In the past week, President Trump has lifted sanctions on Syria, negotiated a hostage deal with Hamas, and signed an agreement with Qatar expected to generate $1.2 trillion for the United States.
