The Ponca City Library is proud to announce it has received a $350.00 grant from OH (Oklahoma Humanities) for Let’s Talk About It: Abridged Version.
The Library’s abridged theme is based on the Oklahoma Private Investigations series. Letter from Home blends mystery and investigative tools to provide a window on the character of the state.
Join us in a lively discussion as we open Letter from Home written by Carolyn Hart. Professor Shanley Rau-Wells will discuss the analysis of the text, its recurring theme, background on the author’s life, and historical context. The discussion will take place on Thursday, September 25, 2025, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Library’s Programming room. The book can be picked up at the Library’s Reference Desk during regular business hours. This program is for adults 18 years and older and sign-up is required for this program.
This program is made possible by the Kirkpatrick Family Fund, McCasland Foundation, Oklahoma City University and the Oklahoma City Community Foundation.
