The incident occurred outside and not inside the residence hall.
At 3:42 a.m., Stillwater Police Department officers responded to McDonald’s, 110 E. McElroy, regarding a report of a gunshot victim.
As officers were performing life-saving measures, it was determined that the incident occurred on the Oklahoma State University campus.
Stillwater Police and OSU Police located the dorm room on campus and began investigating. The Stillwater Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit assisted OSUPD with the case.
