Stillwater Police respond to reported body found in Boomer Lake East off Husband Street photo 2

Stillwater Police responded to Boomer Lake East off of Husband Street for a reported body found in the water Tuesday.

According to police, someone was walking the trail around 8:30 a.m. when they found the body in the water. Officials do not suspect any foul play and do not believe there is any threat to the public.

Officials said the body was a white man, but are waiting to release his identity until family is notified.

The pavilion and peninsula were closed as police investigated. The State Medical Examiner’s Office arrived on the scene to transport the body.

Police started breaking down the scene just before 11 a.m.
