STILLWATER, Okla. –
A man has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a Stillwater teenager in 2023, court records show.
According to the Stillwater Police Department, 17-year-old Teedeenae “Jackson” Yearby was first reported missing in February 2023, he was 17 years old at the time.
Two months after Yearby’s disappearance, Stillwater Police arrested a suspect later identified as now 22-year-old Quinlan Phipps. Phipps was later charged with first-degree murder and desecration of a human corpse.
Human remains belonging to Yearby were not discovered until over a year after his disappearance.

On Sept. 25, 2026, Phipps was found guilty, and on Oct. 1, was sentenced to life in prison, with parole.
