Sunday afternoon, PCPD Officers responded to the 500 Block of South 8th St. when a resident of the apartments contacted PCPD dispatch. The resident told dispatchers that his neighbor forced her way into his apartment, armed with a butcher knife and began to stab the walls inside his apartment, while screaming at the male resident.
The female left the apartment and went outside, where she began to stab at vehicles in the parking lot with the butcher knife, causing more damage. After damaging the vehicles, the woman went into her apartment and refused to answer the door when officers arrived at the scene.
PCPD Tactical Officers arrived on the scene and made multiple attempts to contact the woman and have her come outside, unarmed. The woman refused to come to the door despite the officer’s requests and, a short time later, officers made entry into her apartment.
At that time, PCPD officers arrested 42-year-old Abegail C. Licata for First Degree Burglary and Destruction of Private Property. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
These are charges, not convictions.
