TRAFFIC SIGNAL UPGRADES BEGIN MAY 11

SHARE NOW
The City of Ponca City Traffic Engineering Division is in the process of upgrading traffic signal infrastructure at all signalized intersections. This will be a multi-year effort with multiple intersections being upgraded each year.
The second phase of this project will begin on Monday, May 11, 2026. Traffic and Lighting Systems of Oklahoma City will begin replacing the cabinets and controllers at five intersections. While the new equipment is being installed the intersections will operate under four-way stop control. The changeout for each individual intersection will take one to two days. Only one intersection will be under construction at a time.
The intersections that will be upgraded under this phase of work are:
• 14th Street & Knight Boulevard
• 14th Street & Hartford Avenue
• 14th Street & South Avenue
• 1st Street & Highland Avenue
• Waverly Street & South Avenue
