Leadership Ponca City Class 39 carried on the tradition of passing Spark the Orange Frog, a symbol of the idea that one person’s positive mindset and energy can influence an entire group. Inspired by the Orange Frog concept in positive psychology, Spark represents someone who chooses optimism, lifts others up, and helps create a culture where people grow and succeed together.
Last month’s recipient was Ponca City Fire Chief Eddie Shultz, who proudly hosted Sparky during the past month. During his time with Eddie, Sparky even picked up a fire helmet, adding a little PCFD flair to his travels.
Eddie passed Spark on to Tim Williams, CEO of the University Center at Ponca City, recognizing Tim for his constant positivity, friendliness, and the thoughtful questions he asks to continue learning and helping the class grow.
Sparky will stay with Tim at the University Center until next month’s session, serving as a reminder of the positive influence one leader can have on an entire class.
