On Tuesday evening, officials with the Edmond Police Department announced that 20-year-old Trinity Brown had been arrested.
Investigators stress this is not the end of the investigation, saying they have confirmed additional suspects may be involved.
The case began earlier this month when officers with the Edmond Police Department learned about a possible shooting at the Scissortail Campground, located at Arcadia Lake.
“Edmond, start as many medical personnel as you’ve got,” one officer said.
Immediately, first responders from multiple agencies started responding to the lake.
Officials say the shooting occurred during an unsanctioned party that began after dark and was advertised across multiple social media platforms.
During the event, authorities say a fight broke out, which led to the shooting.
In all, authorities say 23 people were injured in the shooting.
Sadly, 18-year-old Avianna Smith-Gray died from her injuries.
Less than a week after the shooting, Edmond police made the first arrest in the case.
Jaylan Davis, 18, was arrested on a complaint of assault with a deadly weapon. Officials say they expect that charge to be upgraded following Smith-Gray’s death.
