PCPD-As we prepare to announce our super special great amazing awesome fundraiser, we’d like to take a moment to tell you about why we’re doing it and how this funding works.
The Ponca City Police Foundation was organized in 1998 and is administered entirely by citizen volunteers elected to a Board of Trustees. The Trust is funded entirely by individual contributions, business donations, corporate gifts, grants and fundraising projects. The Police Foundation does not replace municipal funding for our Police Department but supplements it, in an effort to develop and participate in approved activities which are not covered under the annual municipal budget.
By participating in this fundraiser, you will not be funding the Ponca City Police Department. You will help provide a great Christmas to a local child in need, because all proceeds will go the Police Foundation and will be 100% dedicated to the Annual Shop with a Cop Christmas project. The Ponca City Area Chamber of Commerce has agreed to handle the exchange of money for this fundraiser and they will pass along all proceeds to the Foundation.
This fundraiser is solely for the purpose of charity and doing everything we can for the community we serve. Our employees donate their time every year to ensure Shop with a Cop never falls short because our people are genuinely passionate about this community. We humbly ask Ponca City to help us accomplish this.
