On February 26th, Ponca City Police Officers were contacted by a concerned parent who believed their child may have been touched inappropriately by an adult male who was close to the family. Officers took an initial report and PCPD Detectives took over the investigation.
As Detectives continued their investigation, a Forensic Interview was conducted with the child. In the interview, the child explained that 49-year-old Pete C. Burdick had touched her inappropriately on multiple occasions and investigators were provided multiple disturbing details about those incidents.
Burdick was arrested by Ponca City Police Officers in the 400 Block of South Washington St. Tuesday afternoon.
He has been charged with Lewd Acts with a Child and his bond has been set at $100,000.00 in Kay County District Court.
These are charges, not convictions.
