BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. (WKRC) — A shocking video out of Florida shows the moment a plane landed on a car on an interstate on Tuesday.
A dramatic scene unfolded when a small twin-engine plane made an emergency landing on a car traveling southbound on I-95 in Brevard County, Fla. Dashcam video captured the moment as the aircraft collided with the back of a Toyota Camry during rush hour traffic.
The driver of the vehicle, a 57-year-old, was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, according to Brevard County Fire Rescue. The Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that the pilot and passenger, both in their late 20s, were unharmed.
Witness Peter Coffey described the incident.

“Boom, out of nowhere, you know? She must have been terrified, but it’s great that everyone walked out ok,” he told reporters with WESH.
Coffey, who was driving with his son, recounted the frightening experience.
“I’ve never gotten a front row seat of that. Like, we were the car right behind the damage. It was so scary. You know the debris started coming at us. We had to swerve out of the way and get to the side of the road real quick,” he told the outlet.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) reported that the plane lost power in both engines. As part of their investigation, the NTSB will examine flight track data, air traffic control communications, aircraft maintenance records, and the pilot’s credentials.
James Coffey, the driver of the car behind the crash, reflected on the close call.
“It was about a three seconds difference.” He said when speaking to WESH, “So we hope that she’ll heal quickly and it’ll be a memory that we don’t wanna see again.”
