On Tuesday evening, PCPD officers responded to the 2100 block of Lake Road in response to a man who was seen punching a deer in the face that had been hit by a vehicle. When Officers arrived, they saw the man punching at passing vehicles, along with an injured deer. When Officers made contact with the man, he had blood on his hands and stated he was trying to put the deer out of its misery and he was punching at vehicles because no one would give him a ride.
Eventually, Officers took 38-year-old Johnny Calvin Seal into custody for Public Intoxication and Providing False Information to Law Enforcement Officers for lying about his identity. While being transported to jail, Seal began trying to break windows out of a patrol car. Once they arrived at the jail, Seal began to fight with Officers. In addition to his initial charges, Seal has been charged with Cruelty to Animals, Assault and Battery on a Police Officer and Placing Bodily Fluids on a Law Enforcement Officer. Seal’s previous arrests include charges for Robbery, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Domestic Strangulation, Knowingly Concealing Stolen Property, Endangering Others While Eluding Law Enforcement, Possession of CDS with Intent to Distribute and Bail Jumping.
Seal was later transported to the Kay County Detention Center for his new charges. The injured deer was put down by PCPD Officers that were on the scene.
Seal’s new charges are arrests, not convictions.
