A group of young musicians from Owasso is preparing for a performance many artists only dream of — taking the stage at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Students from Foyil Music Studio have been chosen to participate in the National Masterwork Chorus, a distinguished ensemble made up of top student performers from across the country.

The Owasso-based studio was one of just six programs nationwide invited to take part.

The chorus will perform alongside the BASHA Symphony Orchestra under the direction of guest conductor Dr. Julie Yu at the world-famous venue, known for hosting some of the most celebrated musicians in history.

Studio leaders say the selection reflects the commitment and hours of preparation their students have invested in developing their craft.

Representing Owasso on such a prominent stage, they say, is both an honor and a milestone achievement.

Foyil Music Studio provides music instruction to students of all ages, focusing on building skill, confidence, and a lasting appreciation for the arts.

While the studio regularly offers performance opportunities, organizers say appearing at Carnegie Hall is a rare and unforgettable experience for their students.

The performance will bring Owasso talent to an international spotlight as these young musicians showcase their abilities on one of the most recognized stages in the world.
