The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) arrested a 13-year-old boy after a 31-year-old woman was found dead in a home in Bryan County.

On Friday, OSBI responded to a home in the 500 block of Sims Road in Colbert after reports of a deceased individual.

Authorities identified 31-year-old Malary Clayton as the victim. OSBI said Clayton had suffered injuries consistent with a homicide.

During the investigation, OSBI identified a 13-year-old boy as a person of interest. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol issued an emergency alert for the suspect, and it was determined that the suspect was south of the Oklahoma border.

The Texas Department of Public Safety, the Denison Police Department, and the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office joined the search.

Grayson County deputies located the suspect at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday and placed him into custody.

OSBI said the suspect is currently being held at a juvenile facility in Texas, and there are no other suspects at large at this time.

The investigation is ongoing, and OSBI said it will provide a full update to the Bryan County District Attorney’s Office to determine official charges.
