Closed primary election reminder
Election officials are reminding voters that Oklahoma conducts closed primary elections.
To vote in a party’s primary, voters must be registered with that party.
However, all registered Oklahoma voters, including independents, are eligible to vote on State Question 832.
Independent voters may also participate in nonpartisan races and local propositions that appear on their ballot, including judicial elections.
Voters do not have to participate in a party primary to vote on State Question 832 or other eligible nonpartisan and local elections.
