OKLAHOMA CITY –
An Oklahoma City woman charged with the 2018 death of an infant is being sentenced on Tuesday, according to court records.
In June 2025, Oklahoma City Police arrested Holly Sheppard seven years after the death of an infant whose death was ruled a homicide.
Sheppard was babysitting the infant for four days before they were hospitalized with head trauma, but at the time, OCPD said they could not determine who was watching the infant when the alleged trauma happened.

Investigators say the 2018 case was reopened in 2023 after Sheppard took a plea in connection with a separate child abuse case, in which Sheppard was arrested for critically injuring a 3-month-old in her care in Ponca City.

Sheppard is currently serving a life sentence with a chance of parole after taking a blind plea in that case in 2024. Sheppard has since accepted a plea deal after being charged with first-degree murder in the 2018 case, and her sentence will be decided in a hearing set for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
