OHP UPDATE Sept 23, 2025:
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide Unit has completed its investigation into the September 8, 2025, crash. Investigators determined that while traveling on State Highway 152, a Minco school bus struck a deer, which partially pinned the left front tire and caused the bus to turn left and leave the roadway. The bus then entered a ditch and overturned completely before coming to rest upright. A post-crash inspection confirmed the bus was well-maintained and revealed no violations.
Five juveniles and one adult were ejected from the bus. All 13 passengers sustained injuries ranging from minor to critical. Thankfully, there were no fatalities, though some injuries are expected to have lasting effects.
Our thoughts remain with the Minco community as they continue to heal from this tragic event.
