FAIRVIEW, Okla. (KOKH) — The Major County Sheriff’s Office confirms a mother and her daughter were killed in a tornado late Thursday night.
The pair was found dead inside a car.
Governor Kevin Stitt offered his condolences to the family on X early Friday morning.
Storms ripped through the state Thursday evening and into the overnight hours. Several storm chasers wrecked their vehicles in northwest Oklahoma during the nocturnal storm event.
Severe weather is expected in Oklahoma again Friday afternoon.
