COLUMBUS, OH (Amazing America) — For more than 70 years, Columbus, Ohio-based Anthony-Thomas Candy Company has been a sweet spot for chocolate lovers across the Midwest.
Amazing America’s Cameron Fontana took a tour of the company’s chocolate factory to find out how its famous Easter bunnies are made.
Anthony-Thomas produces about 60,000 pounds of chocolate each day. And during Easter roughly 30,000 chocolate bunnies are sold each year, including solid milk chocolate bunnies and others filled with cream.
And if you can’t make it for the holiday, there’s no need to get hopping mad. The company offers sweet treats year-round and factory tours on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
You can even plan ahead for next spring. Once a year, the company hosts an open house complete with tours, chocolate samples and a visit from the Easter Bunny.
