Ponca City Public Schools (PCPS) is inviting the community to help support local students and families through food and monetary donations.
The district has established a central distribution site at Ponca City High School to collect and organize donations that will be shared with students and families across all school sites.
-Community members wishing to contribute can donate non-perishable food items that do not require additional ingredients to prepare. Suggested items include: Microwave mac n cheese, canned vegetables, ramen noodle packs or cups, peanut butter, canned beans, canned fruit, canned soup, oatmeal, cereal and rice.
-Donations may be dropped off at Po-Hi. To arrange a drop-off time, please contact Hannah Townsley at (580)767-9500 ext. 4805 or [email protected].
-Monetary donations may also be made to PCPS, care of Erika Johnson, to help purchase needed food and supplies for district families. Donations given to a specific school site will be directed to that school, while general donations will support students districtwide.
-Another way to make a difference is through cash donations to NERA (New Emergency Resource Agency), which serves the greater Ponca City community by providing food and emergency assistance to families in need.
