OKLAHOMA CITY- (KOKH) — Attorney General Gentner Drummond’s office is filing a civil suit against the owner of the non-profit OK Crisis Nursery Foundation” for allegedly spending more than $28,000 in charitable donations on steak, sushi and more.
“Definitely, she’s a sheep in wolves clothing,” said Jenny Street, who had a friend who worked with the owner.
Alyssa Farr gave nearly $4,000 to the nursery in honor of her son, Liam who died at a local daycare.
“I’m pissed. There are more reputable organizations out there that we could have donated to in Liam’s name and I feel like she took advantage of us and of our loss,” she said.
According to an investigator with the AG’s office, OK Crisis Nursey’s federal tax exempt status was revoked by the IRS in 2024. Records also show a check made to Kalidy Kia came from the foundation and that OK Crisis Nursery Foundation’s license was stripped New Year’s Eve 2025.
We went to Roberts registered office address for answers, But no one came to the door.
One person that reached out to us who wished to remain anonymous stands by Roberts.
“She provided me car seats, diapers, clothes, I had nothing. I just had a few essentials.” she’s just an amazing woman,” the woman said.
But Jenny Street said she was always wary of Roberts.
“When you don’t have a DHS license and you’re operating illegally and you don’t have the correct documentation, I don’t care how much good you’re doing.”
