OSAGE COUNTY, OKLA. -The Osage County Sheriffβs Office has arrested David Goad in connection with a June 14 road-rage shooting along New Prue Road in Osage County.
On June 14, 2026, at approximately 11:26 a.m., Osage County Dispatch received a 911 call from a motorist reporting that he had been shot at while driving near New Prue Road and County Road 1705.
The victim told deputies he had been traveling westbound on New Prue Road behind a white Jeep Gladiator that was swerving on the roadway. The Jeep reportedly stopped in the middle of a bridge near the Town of Osage.
Concerned for the driver, the victim stopped and asked if assistance was needed. According to investigators, the driver partially lowered his window, displayed a firearm and yelled at the victim.
The victim continued westbound and attempted to call 911. He then noticed the Jeep following closely behind him and, as he continued toward the Town of Osage, reported hearing two gunshots.
One round penetrated the rear window of the victimβs vehicle and entered the passenger compartment, striking the dashboard area. The victim sustained an injury to his left forearm believed to have been caused by debris or shrapnel.
Responding deputies documented the victimβs injury and damage to the vehicle. A spent projectile was recovered from the driver-side floorboard and collected as evidence.
Later on June 14, an Osage County deputy located a white Jeep Gladiator displaying a blue handicap placard at the Dollar General in Prue. The driver was identified as David Goad, and a revolver was documented inside the vehicle.
Investigators obtained body-camera images of Goad and the Jeep. During a follow-up interview on June 15, the victim reviewed photographs and identified the Jeep as the vehicle involved in the encounter and indicated that Goad appeared to be the driver.
As the investigation continued, investigators obtained a search warrant for Goadβs residence. The warrant was executed on June 16, and investigators recovered two firearms as potential weapons involved in the shooting: an Arminius Titan Tiger .38 Special revolver and a CZ 7.62×25 semi-automatic handgun, along with ammunition.
The firearms, ammunition and projectile recovered from the victimβs vehicle were submitted to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation Crime Laboratory for examination and comparison. Those laboratory results remain pending.
Based on evidence developed during the continued investigation, an arrest warrant was issued through the Osage County District Court for Goad on a charge of Shooting with Intent to Kill.
On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, Osage County Sheriffβs deputies arrested David Goad in connection with the June 14 shooting.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional information may be released as it becomes available.
