Ponca City PD understands that adjustments take time. However, they aske citizens to please utilize the new traffic layout on Grand Ave. correctly.
Grand Ave. is now a three lane roadway, from 14th St. to Ash St.
One lane is for eastbound traffic, one is for westbound traffic and the center lane is for left turns.
Turning from the new turn lane is solely for making left turns at intersections. It may not be used to turn across lanes of traffic to enter parking spots on the other side of the roadway.
In some cases, delivery vehicles may utilize the center lane for deliveries to businesses.
Aside from those, there is no parking allowed in the center lane. Grand Avenue will remain a four lane roadway west of Ash.
If you are going to turn left at an intersection, you must turn from the center turning lane.
