The Osage County Sheriffs Office wants to alert all residents that there have been several recent car break-ins reported in the McCord area, particularly during the late-night and early morning hours. Please be vigilant and take precautions to protect your vehicles and belongings.
Tips to Help Prevent Vehicle Break-Ins:
•Always lock your car doors and close all windows—even when parked in your driveway.
•Do not leave valuables such as wallets, electronics, or bags visible inside your vehicle.
•Remove garage door openers, spare keys, and personal documents.
•If possible, park in well-lit areas or install motion-activated lights.
•Check your home security cameras regularly and report any suspicious activity.
