OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities have apprehended an Oklahoma murder suspect recently added to Attorney General Gentner Drummond’s 10 Most Wanted list. The U.S. Marshals Service arrested Heather Lynn Harjo, 38, in Dallas this week.

She is accused of the April 28 slaying of Summer Cheyenne Martin, 21, in Ada. Harjo is the eighth suspect from the 10 Most Wanted list apprehended this year and the 13th suspect arrested since Drummond launched the list last September.

“I appreciate the U.S. Marshals Service for its investigative work on this case,” Drummond said. “This partnership is a result of our commitment to make our communities safer and remove dangerous criminals from the streets. Heather Harjo will now face the full force of the law.”

Investigators discovered that Harjo had stayed with a former cellmate in the Dallas area before moving to another location. Marshals took her into custody at an apartment where she was residing with her boyfriend.
