A man accused of putting malware on a metro hospital’s computers has been arrested, according to police.

The Oklahoma City Police Department says Jeffrey Bowie was seen by an employee at SSM St. Anthony using a computer designated for employees only.

St. Anthony conducted a forensic review of the computer and found malware had been installed.

According to OCPD, a probable cause affidavit says the technology downloaded onto the computer was designed to take a screenshot every 20 minutes before transmitting those images.

Bowie is facing two counts of violating the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.

News 9 has reached out to SSM Health for comment.
