The Mackie Planetarium on the NOC Enid campus will host the May planetarium show Thursday May 1, at 7 p.m.

The show will present the night sky over Enid and show prominent constellations and planets in the early evening sky.  Director Fritz Osell will point out how to locate planets and other visible objects in the early evening sky.  The great bear, Ursa Major, and the little bear Ursa Minor with the north star are very prominent in the northern sky, according to Osell.

Osell said the feature show is about time.  The show illustrates how time is relative to the speed and gravity of the observer. Time passes at different rates for different situations of gravity and speed.  There will be a show for children before the main show.

There is no charge, but donations of non-perishable food items for Our Daily Bread are accepted.

The NOC Enid campus is located at 100 S. University in Enid.
