On Friday May 30, PCPD Officers responded to the 800 Block of East Edwards after citizens saw a man bleeding and lying on the ground. When Officers arrived, they located an elderly man with multiple injuries from what appeared to be animal bites.
As Officers conducted their investigation, the victim was able to identify the dog, at an adjacent residence, that had attacked him while he was mowing the yard for a family member.
Animal Control located the dog and it has been taken into custody and placed in their facility. The owner of the animal has been issued citations and the investigation is still ongoing.
The victim was flown to St Francis Trauma Center in Tulsa, where he is currently stable and talking to investigators.
