Downtown Streetscape Update

SHARE NOW
With the first phase of Ponca City’s Downtown Streetscape Project now complete, and the final phase, re-striping Grand Avenue to a three-lane roadway began Tuesday.
As part of the improvements, the on-street parking angle along Grand Avenue will change from 25° to 45°, adding approximately 13 new spaces per block. This adjustment will result in a total of 98 additional parking spaces in the Central Business District which runs from the railroad tracks to 7th Street.
The new three-lane roadway configuration will include a center left-turn lane and one through lane in each direction to help accommodate wider parking spaces while maintaining smooth traffic flow. The three-lane section will include 14th Street to Ash Street, while Grand Avenue will remain four lanes west of Ash.
Street work will occur overnight.
The project is expected to take about one week to complete.
